- Left Hinge:
With a cabinet door which has a knob on the left side, the hinge is installed on the right inside of the cabinet. The cabinet door would swing open going towards the person going right.

hinges for old encryption machine
The hinges looked good for general use, but for an M4 Enigma machine trying to match something from WWII is hard to do. The hinge plate spacing when folded was too large. I'll use them on a another project sometime. Kindly, Jim
